Harry’s Dolci to open on Basil Street
Harry’s Dolci to open on Basil Street, Knightsbridge on 6th December
Harry’s Dolci, an Italian all-day dining restaurant will open on Basil Street in Knightsbridge, on 6th December 2017. Exuding stylish décor, seasonal Italian plates, and all the elegance and glamour of 1950’s Italy, Harry’s Dolci is a nod to the namesake Harry’s Bar in Mayfair, and the iconic Venice original.
From breakfast through to dinner, the menu at Harry’s Dolci will feature Italian classics from Chef Director Diego Cardoso, who brings with him extensive experience at several Michelin-starred restaurants, most notably the Italian classic Murano, in Mayfair. Highlights are set to include antipasti such as Carpaccio di Tonno and Burrata al Tartufo. A selection of Pizze will be available in a variation of flavours, while Pasta e Risotti, and Pesce e Carne will complete the menu with signature dishes including Linguine Vongole; Pappardelle al Ragù Bolognese; and Spigola al Cartoccio – a whole seabass baked in a paper bag with fennel, rosemary and Amalfi lemon. To round off the meal with something sweet, there will be an extensive ‘Dolci’ menu, reflecting the restaurant’s name with traditional treats such as Gelato cannoli, Tiramisù and Panna Cotta.
Italian elegance will weave its way into the Harry’s Dolci drinks list in the form a grappa trolley which will circle the room offering diners an aperitif or digestif. Joining the trolley will be a list of exceptional Italian wines, and classic cocktails with a “Dolci” twist.
Transporting guests back to the restaurants and bars of post-war 1950s and 1960s Italy, when the country was transformed by an economic boom, the intimate restaurant will bring glamour and elegance through the use of warm autumnal coloured fabrics and deep green accents, colourful Murano glass and vintage brass fixtures. Carefully curated photography and artwork will adorn the walls, celebrating la dolce vita.
The site, from Caprice Holdings, will sit on the prestigious Cadogan Estate. Spanning a 300-year history, the estates’ values have helped maintain healthy dialogues with residents, community groups and all others who share enthusiasm for the area. The opening of Harry’s Dolci will be celebrated by locals and destination diners alike, offering a slice of Italy in the heart of Knightsbridge.
Harry’s Dolci will open on 6th December 2017 . Reservation Details to be announced in due course.
