Bubala launches Middle Eastern feasting brunch
Bubala, the debut restaurant from Marc Summers which opened earlier this year on Commercial Street, Spitalfields, is set to launch a new Middle Eastern feasting brunch, celebrating their fully-vegetarian, sharing ethos.
Available every Sunday from 8th March from 11am-3pm, Bubala’s brunch will see Head Chef Helen Graham, previously of The Palomar, Barbary and Good Egg, celebrate Tel Aviv’s thriving brunch culture and take inspiration from the restaurants nestled in the bustling alleyways of Jaffa, Tel Aviv’s ancient Port. The dishes, all designed for sharing, will centre around the bold flavours, herbs and spices of the Middle East.
The brunch menu will consist of small plates, larger plates and sweet plates with dishes including:
Bubala favourites including: Fried aubergine with zoug and date syrup, Halloumi with black seed honey and Labneh with za’atar will also be available.
Accompanying the brunch menu will be freshly shaken brunch cocktails including: Bloody Marys and Bellinis alongside bottomless filter coffee and a range of herbal teas.
Bubala, which opened in October 2019 has already received critical acclaim from the likes of Guardian critic, Jay Rayner, who says ‘If you love vibrant Mediterranean dishes, Bubala will be your East End sweetheart’; and ES Magazine’s Jimi Famurewa naming Bu+bala a ‘rare gift,’ and a place of ‘fizzing cool and poised Israeli cooking.’
Launching on Sunday 8th March, brunch will be available every Sunday from 11am-3pm. Reservations can be made online at resy.com/cities/ldn/bubala
