Pierre Brunelli of L’Enclume awarded Master Sommelier

Chef Simon Rogan is proud to announce that Pierre Brunelli, Group Sommelier and Operations Manager of two Michelin starred L’Enclume and one Michelin starred Rogan & Co, has received the prestigious Master Sommelier Diploma. Making him one of only 262 people worldwide with the title, Pierre is also one of only three candidates in the UK to achieve the status of Master Sommelier this year. To become a Master Sommelier – the highest qualification awarded by the Court of Master Sommeliers –  Pierre completed the three examinations – theory, tasting and practical. The practical examination requires the candidate to taste six wines completely blind and to identify grape varieties, country and district of origin and vintage.

Prior to this he completed three preliminary stages; Introductory Sommelier, Certified Sommelier and Advanced Sommelier.
